Victoria Rosushchan – Making her mark as one of the best Ukrainian TV-Presenter & Actress

Hi, Victoria! We are happy to have you as our cover model. How have you been spending your summer so far? Hello, it’s my pleasure! Thank you for having me. This summer, I turned 18, so I gave myself a little rest and went on a trip with a friend. However, when I return home, I will have even more work than before, as there are many plans for the next two months.

What has been your most exciting project over the summer? To be honest, this summer I wasn’t really focused on my acting/modeling career because I had too much work with my firm in Prague. We are planning to expand, and I just physically couldn’t do everything at the same time. But despite this, I want to continue to grow as a model and actress. I recently applied for an interesting project, which I won’t tell you about because I don’t like to discuss things I haven’t done yet.

How did you get started in acting, and at what point did your acting career take off? In general, my career did not start with acting but with the work of a TV presenter. I was very lucky that my first project was at Ukrainian Fashion Week. After some time, when I learned more about working with the camera and felt more confident, I was offered to try acting, and we started working on a music video for the song “відпусти” with the incredible Ukrainian artist Svyatoslav Lookinich, where I played the lead role. I can’t say that I have achieved everything I dreamed of in my acting career because I haven’t had any big projects like a movie or a series yet. However, what I’m most proud of is another clip for LOOKINICH, but this time with the participation of our famous Ukrainian actor Vladimir Goryanskyi. Unfortunately, the clip was stopped in editing due to the war in Ukraine and has not yet been released.

Being so young, how do you handle success in your career? In fact, as soon as my work in show business started, it was a bit difficult for me. Not so much from fatigue or the fact that I left my comfort zone, but more because I was born and live in the Czech Republic, where I mostly speak Czech. It was difficult for me to get used to the fact that I couldn’t use my Czech words. Of course, sometimes it was hard for me, and I was exhausted, but this is what I always dreamed of, and working in this field brought me pleasure. Even if the process was difficult, the whole team became my family, and I was infinitely grateful for this opportunity. When you do what you love, all difficulties become insignificant. I never considered myself successful because I am only at the beginning, and I want much more.

You have devoted yourself to learning foreign languages and cultures. Tell us your favorite cultures and how they have impacted your career. You know, learning many languages has given me some freedom. In any part of the world, I feel comfortable knowing that I will be understood. It also allows me to travel anywhere. I’ve always liked it when I’m in another country or on another continent. I get the feeling that I’m on another planet because people live differently; they have a different perspective on the world. It’s funny how sometimes I subconsciously adopt their habits and norms, accepting them as my own. I can be inspired by their culture; it can be interesting to me. Still, I maintain that each person should primarily develop the culture of their own country within themselves because I believe that the key to the future is hidden in the past. This perspective has profoundly impacted my career. It has expanded my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, enhancing my communication skills and cultural sensitivity. This understanding has allowed me to work more effectively in global terms, negotiate better across cultural lines, and approach problems with a broader perspective. Additionally, it has opened doors to opportunities in international markets and enriched my personal and professional growth. Overall, this commitment has made me more adaptable, empathetic, and capable in a multicultural environment.

Being a TV presenter, is that your favorite thing to do now? And why? I really enjoy being a TV presenter because it allows me to meet new people and listen to their unique experiences, which is incredibly rewarding. There’s something special about connecting with others, hearing their stories, and sharing them with a wider audience. However, I have to say that acting is even more interesting to me. As an actress, I get to transform into different characters and convey their feelings, which is a deeply creative and fulfilling process. There’s a certain magic in stepping into someone else’s shoes and bringing their story to life on screen. It’s a challenge that I find incredibly captivating.

The entertainment industry is very competitive and challenging at this time. How do you stay at the top of your game and continue to excel? I believe in the uniqueness of each person; therefore, there is no real competition for me. I am inspired by my colleagues and wish them success. Personally, I believe that if there are people who believe in me, are inspired by me, and perhaps take an example from me, then no one will take my place in their hearts. The only important competition you have is with yourself. Ultimately, my passion for what I do drives me forward. By staying true to that passion and seeking guidance from mentors, I continue to push myself, evolve, and excel in my field.

Charity is a huge part of your life. Why is it so important to you? Charity allows me to use my success for a greater purpose: to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves and to contribute to a global community that values humanity and compassion. Seeing the immense suffering caused by the conflict there—the displacement of families, the destruction of homes, and the loss of lives—has been a stark reminder of how fragile peace and security can be.

Tell us about your charity work and why others should join your cause. For me, charity is not just about financial contributions but about showing solidarity and compassion in times of crisis. I feel a profound responsibility to help those who are struggling, particularly when I see the resilience of the Ukrainian people—my people—who continue to fight for their freedom and future despite tremendous odds. Whether it’s supporting humanitarian aid efforts, providing resources for refugees, or raising awareness through my work, I’m driven by the belief that we must come together to support those in need.

The situation in Ukraine has been a powerful reminder that our actions, no matter how small, can have a significant impact. That’s why giving back is so important to me.

What are three things you need to carry out your day? Three things I need to carry out my day are focus, energy, and a positive mindset. Focus helps me stay on track with my goals and manage my time effectively, ensuring that I make the most out of every moment. Energy is crucial because it fuels my creativity, productivity, and ability to tackle challenges throughout the day. Lastly, a positive mindset keeps me motivated and resilient, allowing me to approach each task with enthusiasm and handle any setbacks with grace. These three essentials help me navigate my day with purpose and drive.

How would you describe your personal style? I would describe my personal style as a blend of sophistication and versatility, with a strong emphasis on elegance. I gravitate towards timeless pieces that exude refined simplicity, whether it’s a well-tailored suit, a chic dress, or classic accessories. Elegance, for me, is about feeling confident and poised in what I wear, choosing outfits that not only suit the occasion but also reflect my personality. While I appreciate the latest trends, I always incorporate elements of understated luxury, ensuring that my style remains polished and effortlessly chic, no matter the setting.

As a successful creative and businesswoman, what are three things that are key to your success? And what advice would you give to other women who want to make it to where you are? Three key things to my success as a creative and businesswoman are vision, resilience, and balance. Vision has been crucial in guiding my decisions and helping me stay focused on my long-term goals, even when faced with challenges. Resilience has allowed me to overcome setbacks and keep moving forward, understanding that failure is often just a stepping stone to greater success. Balance is vital in managing both my personal and professional life, ensuring that I maintain my well-being while pursuing my ambitions.

For other women who aspire to reach where I am, my advice is to believe in yourself and your vision, even when others doubt you. Surround yourself with a strong support network, and don’t be afraid to take risks—growth often happens outside of your comfort zone. Finally, prioritize self-care and maintain balance; success is not just about achieving your goals, but also about enjoying the journey and staying true to who you are.
