For Jennifer Lin, 2026 has become a year of evolution – a year in which an established career in fashion has begun to open the door to a new creative journey in film.
In May, Jennifer Lin appeared on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, continuing an international career shaped by fashion, editorial work and the runway. Shortly after Cannes, Lin stepped into a very different world, spending much of the summer filming her first movie, HOPE.
The project marks Lin’s film debut. In HOPE, she portrays a female operative working for a fictional intelligence organization, giving audiences an opportunity to discover a different side of her on screen. The film is currently expected to be released in 2027.
For Lin, however, entering the world of acting is not about walking away from fashion. It is about expanding beyond the boundaries of a single creative field.
Following the summer production, Jennifer Lin returned to the fashion world and appeared at New York Fashion Week, continuing the modeling career that has played such an important role in shaping her professional identity.
A NEW CREATIVE JOURNEY
At the same time, her first experience on a film set has opened another possibility – one she hopes to continue exploring.
In a recent conversation, Lin reflected on the relationship between the two sides of her career.
“Fashion has shaped so much of who I am, but acting gives me a new way to express myself,” Lin said. “I see this as the beginning of a new journey, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.”
For a model accustomed to communicating through movement, presence and imagery, acting offers a different kind of creative challenge. Instead of capturing a single moment in front of the camera, film gives Lin the opportunity to build a character, explore emotion and tell a story over time.
It is a transition that feels less like a change of direction and more like an expansion of what her career can become.
